HELLO!I'm new at this so bear with me.It's Valentines day,very quite here yesterday had dinner for Tomoe and Chris who live across the street kind of a valentine thing[Italian],we also looked at pictures from the past I MEAN WAY PAST!!! They got a real good laugh!Today working on some sewing projects,that's what I do,love the traditional arts,will have some on the web,I retired from Fenton Art Glass 3yrs ago from the art department there I painted on glass since1968, took some time off to have two girls a nd some traveling.,now I am doing sewing art,basket weaving and baking for my local farmers market that is open all year long in Marietta,Ohio.Till later Alice

Good afternoon!Thought I would post a message today!Working on a quilt,its in the frame and quiltinfg it!Love to quilt.Tonight I am going to do some art work for the farmers market[in my booth].

Summerhill said get BLoogan,I haven,t been very good about it so catch up.Went to the farmers market this morning,love it Lisa and Dan were there ,they are my partners in crime,just kidding Lisa sells lamb and rabbit meat and lamb and Dan has a booth next to me,he is a blacksmith,he did make twq handles for me to use to weave baskets,when done will put a pic. up!Then when I came home took a nap lol.I did sell alot of cookies,date_nut pinwheels and a slate I painted.Tomorrow will get back to work.

ReplyDeleteWell today very nice,yesterday,noy so much?I have been hand quilting a quilt and have it almost done!Working on two tablerunners,and maybe tomorrow will paint aslatr or two,always working on something,next week will be going to see my two DD,cannot waite!
ReplyDeleteIt rained really hard in Marietta,Ohio today!Went to the market,didn't sell much,a emibordered tea towel,oh well?I did regestered with etsy,will be on there soon,so many ideas soooooo little time!
ReplyDeleteIt is still raining?What a wet spring.Making cookies for my 2 DD,taking them to Columbus.Making nieghbor some too,he will pay me,it will pay for the gas to go to Columbus.I am entering a contest ,making a afghan,have tore it apart 3 times,have to get it right!If you win its 2,500$ sounds good!I am going to try and find recipie contest too I have two great ones to enter.I found a friend of mine blog yesterday and her pottery on etsy,really nice things,she is at the farmers market too.Back to work!
ReplyDeleteI have't wrote forever,well it is still raining?It's getting on my nerves.Saturday went to the Farmers Market,didn't sell a thing and the market was slow but the weather was nice a little chilly!Then went and bought flowers to plant,fun!And this year planting lettuce,onions spinach,radishs in containers,lettuce is already sprouting!four days.I was in the community gardens for three years but have decided to put some salad fixing in planters and herbs and flowers and buy at the market tomatos,cukes and green beans to can,I love to can!very mind easing for me and I love to see all the pretty jars filled with summer bounty,each year I do one new recipie,this year chow chow and maybe a pickel?I miss my friend at the market,she sells rabbit andlamb,we have a good time alot of the vendors weren't ther,but I wasn't there last week becauce I went to see my daughters in Columbus,Ohio we had fun,when I get my camera going will post everyone!
ReplyDeleteWell been a long week,tomorrow going to the farmers market were I have a booth,made four baskets,like them!Working on two table toppers,love to quilt,I really have to get back to my art,my oldest daughter bought me prisma colored pencils have to use them.
ReplyDeleteHi!Nice hot day,its about time wow what a wet spring!Decided to have a container on back little deck,the lettuce,great! have radishes and spinach and lots of herbs in containers,and flowers!Will post pics later,bought a new camera for my blog and for etsy!so now I can sell some of my things on etsy,and in the next few weeks will be putting recipies on my blog and show you the finish product,next week will be strawberry festival at the farmers market,taking two really yummy dishes!I did sell a basket yesterday[happy]
ReplyDeleteWOW been awhile,well its SUMMER in OHIO!!!I mean hot last three days like 90+,I baked for the farmers market tomorrow five different cookies.And wove six baskets,if I don't sell at the market will take to some festivals in the fall!I am making quilted camers covers,I bought a new digital camera and do not want to scratch it so am makind a cover,the first one is a Japaneese pattern,sooooo cute,think this maybe a seller!Well have to watch a little TV,and sew,finished up the last of cookies[ginger].BYE
ReplyDeleteWOW~! its Thursday,am tired and don't know why?Maybe cool weather,but is aboutto change back to very warm!Have been sewing today sooooo slow,that I don't know why either?The little camers cases are coming along,love them.I really have to get back to my art,I am having a hard time getting back into it?But I do love painting oh well?Have to finish up a quilt that I'm hand quilting,old but it is so nice that someone would take an old top and have it finished,will post pic. when done!My herbs and lettuce and onionsand radishes are really growing have had two pickins of lettuce,good!Growing on the deck in containers good idea.And so pretty/with flowers.
